Red Carpet Rollout Sxsw - Recently I produced a red carpet event and thought I would share some of our charity fundraising ideas with you. The event was for PCRM and also like other red carpet events we create, many hours of preparation went into making this successful nonprofit event. One of the primary nonprofit ideas was to create this nonprofit event stand out from the audience since the charity was being introduced to a new audience on the West Coast. Thus it was important for this red carpet event to adhere to the maximum level of professionalism in terms of food, service, and layout.
We achieved this by earning one of the greatest live TV show producers who in turn constructed a top-rated manufacturing team making the television part of this event smooth. Other charity fundraising ideas we used to maintain our budget was supposed to create elegant floral structures at cost and recycle the glass containers. We even used one of the floral designs out of Budget Bash, which is to submerge a cymbidium orchid. Like all other red carpet events, we placed "asks" for patrons for our pub.
Since this is a vegan nonprofit event we'd quite strict parameters in relation to exactly what drinks we could serve but found generous patrons for our spirits, beer, and wine. Other patrons were kind enough to let us "borrow" their recipes in which the caterer created our tasty three-course dinner menu. Additional nonprofit notions comprised our silent and live auction which also adhered to a vegan code to make sure our patrons weren't offended from that which we provided to help raise funds.
We utilized light efficiently as our main design element with this red carpet event in addition to vegan-friendly drape and linen. We integrated our design elements in the save-the-date card in addition to the invitation to make our timeless yet tasteful room décor. And what are red carpet events with no after party? For this part of the event, we quickly transitioned our cocktail room into a nightclub with a white dance floor, white faux leather sofas, and a vegan dessert station.
Additional charity fundraising ideas included sleek modern-looking informational kiosks to help translate, explain and support the charity's mission statement. I learned a great deal from making this event particularly in terms of healthy eating habits and integrating aspects of a vegan diet into my everyday routine. Until next time, remember the Budget Bash mantra: make it easy, delicious, stylish, enjoyable & economical whatsoever!
