Red And Gold Carpeting - Recently I produced a red carpet event and thought I'd share a few of our charity fundraising thoughts with you. The event was for PCRM and like other red carpet events we create, many hours of planning went into making this thriving charitable event. One of the primary nonprofit thoughts was to make this nonprofit event stick out from the crowd since the charity was being introduced to a new audience on the West Coast. Thus it was essential for this particular red carpet event to adhere to the maximum degree of professionalism in terms of food, service, and design.
We achieved this by earning one of the greatest live TV show producers who subsequently constructed a top-rated manufacturing team making the television part of this event seamless. Other charity fundraising thoughts we used to keep our funding was to create elegant floral arrangements at cost and recycle the glass containers. We even used one of those flowery designs from Budget Bash, which is to submerge a cymbidium orchid. Like all other red carpet events, we placed "asks" for patrons for our bar.
Because this was a vegan nonprofit event we'd very strict parameters in relation to what drinks we could serve but discovered generous patrons for our liquor, beer, and wine. Other patrons were kind enough to let us "borrow" their recipes where the caterer created our delicious three-course dinner menu. Additional nonprofit ideas included our silent and live auction which stuck to a vegan code to make sure our patrons weren't offended from that which we provided to help raise capital.
We utilized light effectively as our main design element with this red carpet event as well as vegan-friendly drape and linen. We incorporated our design elements from the save-the-date card as well as the invitation to make our timeless yet elegant room décor. And what exactly are red carpet events with no after party? For this part of the event, we immediately transitioned our cocktail room to a nightclub with a white dance floor, white faux leather couches, and a vegan dessert station.
I learned a lot from producing this event especially in terms of healthful eating habits and integrating facets of a vegan diet into my everyday routine. Until the next time, remember the Budget Bash mantra: make it easy, delicious, trendy, enjoyable & economical whatsoever!
