Hollywood Red Carpet Theme Party - Recently I made a red carpet event and thought I'd share a few of our charity fundraising thoughts with you. The event was for PCRM and like other red carpet events we create, lots of hours of preparation went into creating this thriving nonprofit event. One of the main nonprofit thoughts was to create this nonprofit event stick out from the crowd since the charity was being introduced to a new audience on the West Coast. Therefore it was important for this red carpet event to adhere to the maximum level of professionalism concerning service, food, and layout.
We accomplished this by bringing in one of the greatest live TV show manufacturers who subsequently constructed a top-rated production team making the television portion of this event smooth. Other charity fundraising thoughts we used to maintain our funding was to create elegant floral structures at cost and recycle the glass containers. We even used one of the floral designs from Budget Bash, which is to submerge a cymbidium orchid. Like most of other red carpet events, we placed "asks" for sponsors for our bar.
Because this is a vegan nonprofit event we had very strict parameters in relation to what beverages we could serve but discovered generous sponsors for our spirits, beer, and wine. Other sponsors were kind enough to allow us "borrow" their recipes in which the caterer created our tasty three-course dinner menu. Additional nonprofit ideas included our live and silent auction which also adhered to a vegan code to make sure our patrons were not offended from that which we offered to help raise capital.
We used lighting efficiently as our main design element for this red carpet event as well as vegan-friendly drape and linen. We integrated our design components in the save-the-date card as well as the invitation to make our classic yet tasteful room décor. And what are red carpet events with no after party? For this part of the event, we immediately transitioned our cocktail area to a nightclub with a white dance floor, white faux leather couches, and a vegan dessert station.
I hope you picked up a few nonprofit tips for your next nonprofit event. I learned a great deal from producing this event especially concerning healthy eating habits and incorporating facets of a vegetarian diet into my regular routine. Until the next time, remember the Budget Bash mantra: make it easy, delicious, stylish, enjoyable & economical to all!
